Interested in Volunteering?
We appreciate your interest in volunteering to serve those striving to escape the cycle of family violence. Volunteers and interns serve in a variety of ways in virtually all departments of the Family Sunshine Center (FSC), in both direct services to clients and in administrative roles. The agency could not offer services, at the current capacity, without dedicated and committed volunteers. We look forward to working with you!

How do I become a volunteer?
There are several steps to the application process: Complete the required volunteer application by accessing the forms above. If you do not have Web access or would prefer to have an application packet mailed to you, please contact the volunteer coordinator at 334.206.2100.

Upon completing your volunteer packet, contact the volunteer coordinator to set up your interview.

The interview will establish your suitability, areas of interest and availability. You will be asked to provide identification and proof of auto insurance if your role will require transportation. In accordance with Alabama law, volunteers are also required to complete background check forms during the interview process.

All new volunteers will be scheduled to complete an orientation and any additional training needed for their assignments.

We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give.
