Task Forces Make Communities Stronger
Task forces educate their communities about abusive family situations and
how to recognize and help victims. They attract members who are key players
in their communities for providing help, support and legal aid to victims of
domestic violence. Members include representatives from education,
healthcare, the legal community, law enforcement, the courts, the housing
community, victim’s advocacy and survivor groups, social services, business,
industry, local government, community services groups, the concerned public
and the news media. There are currently four task forces in the FSC service
area. If you are interested in starting one in your community, contact the
FSC at 206-2100.
