(Nov. 19, 2008) -- Thanksgiving is right around the corner and for so many of us, that means turkey and dressing, spending time with family, or cheering your favorite football team to victory. But for some there will not be a feast, there will not be a family, and there will not be a television to watch a football game.  That is why CBS 8 will work diligently for 8 hours on November 21 at Eastdale Mall to receive donations for the Family Sunshine Center of Montgomery and Brantwood Children's Home. Both organizations help to enhance the well-being, social adjustment and educational development of abused or orphaned woman and children.

Please join us at Eastdale Mall and drop off your donation or if you cannot make it out Friday, that is okay...Visit our website at www.WAKA.com that day and look for the links to either the Brantwood Home or Family Sunshine Center and make a donation directly to the organization of your choice. If you choose this option be sure to note in the comment box CBS 8 Hours of Giving so that your donation will be included in our grand total.

Every person who donates will also be entered to win a family 4 pack to Callaway Gardens (there will be one family pack given away EVERY hour). Lastly, a final drawing will be held at 7 p.m. and one lucky winner will receive a $500 gift card to Eastdale Mall.
